MyRefinery

Rust Oil Refinery Rates Plugin for Oxide & Carbon

Set how much low grade fuel players' own oil refineries make and how fast they work, with better tiers for VIPs. Players can buy a refinery with a command for a cost you choose.

new Carbon Oxide v0.4.1 Updated

Overview

MyRefinery lets you decide what a player's own oil refinery is worth: how much low grade fuel it makes from each crude oil, and how fast it works. Players can buy one with a command, and VIPs can have better rates than everyone else.

Out of the box, a Small Oil Refinery turns each crude oil into 3 low grade fuel, slowly. On a server where fuel matters, or where you want a home refinery to be a real reward, that is not something you can change without a plugin. MyRefinery changes it, using the game's own refinery: the same machine, the same screen, the same sounds.

Rates you set
  • Yield, as a percentage of what the game gives. 150 makes half as much fuel again; below 100 makes less.
  • Speed, as a whole multiple of the game's own. Wood burns at the game's rate, so a faster refinery uses less wood for each crude oil.
  • Tiers behind permissions. A vip tier is there to start with; add as many as you like. A refinery works at the best tier its owner holds, whoever is using it.
  • Monument refineries are left alone unless you switch them onto the base rates as well.
A refinery to buy
  • /refinery buy gives a Small Oil Refinery for a cost you set (the game's own recipe and 100 scrap by default), with no blueprint or workbench needed.
  • A limit per player (one by default), with myrefinery.unlimited and myrefinery.free for those you choose.
  • Crafting stays in the game's menu with the blueprint, unless you switch it off.
  • Only players holding myrefinery.use may buy, craft or place one. One already placed keeps working if its owner loses the permission.
Rates on screen

The game's refinery screen shows no rates, so a small bar beside FUEL shows the refinery's yield and speed. It can be moved or switched off.

Set up in game

/refinery setup opens a panel with every setting, the cost and the tiers. Type a value or click a switch, SAVE, and the new settings are in use at once, with no reload.

Languages

English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese are built in, and each player sees their own.

Every download is licensed to you and watermarked with your details.

Install

  1. Download MyRefinery.cs from My Plugins.
  2. Drop it into oxide/plugins or carbon/plugins.
  3. Grant the permissions:
o.grant group default myrefinery.use
o.grant group admin myrefinery.admin
o.grant group vip myrefinery.vip

On Carbon use c.grant instead of o.grant. The last line is only needed if you have a VIP group.

The file name must stay MyRefinery.cs, because Oxide matches it to the class name.

The config is written to oxide/config/MyRefinery.json (or carbon/configs/MyRefinery.json) on first load. Change it in game with /refinery setup, or edit the file and reload the plugin.
