Overview
NoDecay stops decay for the players you choose. Grant nodecay.use and nothing that player owns decays again: walls, floors, doors, boxes, furnaces, anything they built or placed. No tool cupboard is needed, and one that is there need not be kept stocked.
There is nothing to set up. No config, no data file and no panel. Holding the permission is the whole switch.
What it is for
- Admin builds that stay up. A spawn town, an event arena, a shop, a show base: build it once and stop feeding a cupboard to keep it standing.
- Builders and supporters. Give the permission to a group and everything its members own is looked after.
- Build and creative servers. Grant it to the default group and decay is off for everything players build, while the rest of the map carries on as normal.
It is an admin's building tool first. On a survival server, think before giving it to everyone: bases that never decay are never cleared away.
How it works
- It goes by who owns the thing, which is whoever built or placed it. It does not matter who is standing near it or who is authorised on the cupboard. In a shared base, a team mate's walls are covered only if that team mate holds the permission too.
- The owner need not be online. Their things are protected while they are away, which is when decay matters.
- Revoke the permission and decay starts again within half a minute.
- Server admins are not covered automatically. Grant the permission to the admin, or to the admin group.
Only decay is stopped
- Explosives, tools, fire and every other kind of damage do what they always did. Raiding is not changed in any way.
- A cupboard that is stocked still uses its upkeep. NoDecay does not touch upkeep; it only means that running out costs nothing.
What it leaves alone
- Things nobody owns: vehicles the map spawns, and anything another plugin put down without an owner.
- Buried stashes and train wagons. The game removes these outright on a timer of their own instead of wearing them down, so there is no decay damage for NoDecay to stop.
Checking it is on
A player types /nodecay and is told either that nothing they own will decay, or that they do not have the permission and their things decay as normal.
Restarts and wipes
NoDecay keeps no data file, so there is nothing to clear on wipe day. The permission stays granted until you revoke it.
Languages
English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese are built in, with no lang files to install. Each player is answered in the language their own client is set to.
Every download is licensed to you and watermarked with your details.

Install
- Download NoDecay.cs from My Plugins.
- Drop it into
oxide/pluginsorcarbon/plugins. - Grant the permission to the players or groups whose things should not decay:
o.grant user <name or Steam ID> nodecay.use
o.grant group admin nodecay.use
On Carbon use c.grant instead of o.grant.
To switch decay off for everything players build, grant it to everyone: o.grant group default nodecay.use.
Being a server admin is not enough by itself: the admin, or the admin group, must hold the permission.
The file name must stay NoDecay.cs, because Oxide matches it to the class name.
Nothing else is needed: no config, no data file and no other plugin.
