T2M

Rust Teleport to Map Marker Plugin for Oxide & Carbon

Teleport to your own map markers, pings and last death spot. Type /t2m, pick one from the list, and you are there.

new Carbon Oxide v0.2.1 Updated

Overview

T2M (Teleport to Marker) takes a player to any marker on their own map. Drop a marker with a right-click on the map, type /t2m, click GO, and you land right on top of it.

No typing coordinates and no admin console. It moves you the same way the game's own teleport2marker admin command does, but behind a permission you can give to players, with a wait between teleports and a guard against landing inside other people's bases.

What is in the list
  • Your map markers. A marker you have named shows its name; the rest read Marker 1, Marker 2 and so on.
  • Your pings (on by default). A ping on something that moves, a vehicle or a player, follows it.
  • Where you last died (on by default), to get back to your body.

Each row shows its grid square and how far away it is, six to a page. The ✕ on a row takes that marker, ping or death spot off your map without closing the list.

Where you land

On top of whatever is at the marker: the ground, a rock, a roof, or the water if the marker is out at sea. If you are sitting in a vehicle or a chair you are taken out of it first.

Fair for players
  • A marker inside someone else's base is refused: under a tool cupboard you are not authorised on. No teleporting into a raid target.
  • A 60 second wait between teleports; the panel shows how long is left.

Both can be changed or switched off in the config. Admins with t2m.admin skip both.

Bookmarks for admins

Admins also get SAVE HERE in the panel's header. It saves exactly where you stand, height and facing included, so a bookmark can be inside a building, a cave or a monument rather than on its roof. Click a bookmark's name to rename it, and its ✕ deletes it. Bookmarks are kept through restarts and cleared on a map wipe, since they are places on that map.

Keys and commands

t2m.open opens the list and t2m.go <n> goes straight to the n-th place in it, and both can be bound to a key (bind j t2m.open). /t2m 1 from chat does the same as t2m.go 1.

Languages

English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese are built in, with no lang files to install. Each player sees the language their own client is set to.

Every download is licensed to you and watermarked with your details.

Features

  • Teleport to your own map markers with one click
  • Pings listed too, following anything that moves
  • Go back to where you last died
  • Grid square and distance on every row
  • Lands you on top of whatever is there, even on water
  • Remove a marker, ping or death spot from the list
  • Markers inside other players' bases refused (config)
  • Wait between teleports, 60 seconds by default (config)
  • Admin bookmarks: save an exact spot, inside buildings too
  • Bindable console commands: t2m.open, t2m.go <n>
  • Seven languages built in

Install

  1. Download T2M.cs from My Plugins.
  2. Drop it into oxide/plugins or carbon/plugins.
  3. Grant the permissions:
o.grant group default t2m.use
o.grant group admin t2m.admin

On Carbon use c.grant instead of o.grant. t2m.admin needs t2m.use as well.

The file name must stay T2M.cs, because Oxide matches it to the class name.

The config is written to oxide/config/T2M.json (or carbon/configs/T2M.json) on first load. Edit it, then reload the plugin (o.reload T2M or c.reload T2M).

Config

{
"Seconds between teleports (0 = no wait)": 60.0,
"Refuse markers inside other players' bases": true,
  "List pings": true,
"List where the player last died": true,
  "Bookmarks per admin": 30
}
